RV'ers for Christ

CWCf's group of RV’ers is somewhat less structured than other groups with similar interests. Our program allows interested people who have time limitations or other considerations to participate. Retirees and other folks can serve the Lord with us in a practical, hands-on manner as time and ability permits.

We have several full-time RV’ers for Christ, and others who join us for a short time each year. They often work in Bible camps throughout the continental United States, Alaska, and Canada. They also participate in building and remodeling churches, Bible school buildings and other structures for Christian organizations. The work includes both the construction and maintenance of these facilities.

Be an RV'er for Christ

Requirements:

Willing hands and a good spirit
Have a recreational vehicle (motor home or trailer)
Complete our application forms and be accepted
Volunteer at least once per year
Submit an end-of-job report when you leave a project

The application form we ask you to fill out give us information about:

Your Christian testimony,
Your skills and job experience,
Your Christian work experience (e.g., volunteer work, youth work, teaching, etc.)

We’ll want to see some references from your:

Pastor or Elder
Personal friend
Employer or work associate

Click on the following links and print out at least three copies of the Reference Form. Distribute them to your pastor(s), friend(s), and work reference(s). Ask them to mail the forms directly back to us. Husbands and wives each should submit separate references from their pastor, friends and employers/co-workers, but they may complete the Application for Individuals jointly (although they might wish to use the back of the application form to give more complete information about themselves as individuals).

If you would prefer to complete an Application for Associate Status on-line, we would be much obliged! The interactive, on-line version enables us to enter the data into our system without having to re-type everything (in theory)!

Complete and return the above forms to PO Box 636, Kelso, WA 98626, and upon acceptance, you'll soon be joining like-minded Christian folks on a project you choose from a list of Christian ministries requesting our help. Remember to ask your references to mail their forms directly to us. We will try to be in touch with you within 10 days of receiving your application.

Since many churches, Christian camps and other ministries are now requiring that background checks be done on anyone who may work in proximity to minors (such as campers or school children), you will need to be willing to have a police background check done (the fees are nominal, usually under $30 per person – call or e-mail us for the current cost). We regret that this is an unfortunate reality of the times in which we live.
